What is StartUp Academy project?

StartUp Academy is a two-year project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. The main aim of the project is to develop, test and implement a supporting environment for unemployed young persons with entrepreneurial ideas with special focus on those living in remote regions with limited access to education and training and resources.

In order to reach our objectives, an innovative, entrepreneurial training courses has been developed and will be implemented in 2018.

The first Phase of the training course is an online training which will start 12th February 2018

Develop your new business idea

If you are young (unemployed) adult aged between 18 and 35 and you have a great business idea – which e.g. provides solutions to major EU-level problems – but you don’t know how to develop it, this training is for you!
During the training through 7 modules, we will focus on helping you learn basic skills and competences in business life:

  1. Communication techniques and improvement of English language competences
  2. ICT and digital tools for business purposes (Microsoft office, google documents, doodle, Prezi, video conferences, etc.)
  3. Business management
  4. Market analysis – market conditions, state of the art and competitor analysis
  5. Sales and marketing
  6. Basic economic concepts
  7. Accounting and financial management

This online training is a good opportunity for you to participate the second phase of the training course which is a 5 days face-to-face Hackathon training and competition in Nagykanizsa, Hungary between 16th and 20th of April 2018.

What do you have to do?

Finished the online training and share your business proposal with StartUp Academy team by 15th of March.

Selection process:

Received applicants will be evaluated by jury and 8 participants per country will be selected with their best business ideas by 31th of March. Selected participants can travel to Hackathon event.


Both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the training course are free of charge. Tickets and accommodation will be covered by the project for the 5-day Hackathon event.
